Not much to report today. I’m still holding steady with the weight. Did my regular 45 minutes on the elliptical this morning. I have some work to do this morning and then this afternoon I have to drive out to do an in-person interview. Just trying to get stuff done while my puppy is asleep. Finally figured out that she has a better chance of sleeping through the night if we take away her water bowl sometime in the evening. Umm, duh? Why didn’t this occur to me before? But at any rate, she’s been sleeping a lot longer the past two nights since we started doing that, so there’s some progress for you.
I made a few updates to my blog. First, I went through my old blog roll and deleted a lot of dead links. If you read my blog, but don’t see your link on there, please leave me a comment and I’ll add you. Just updating the blog randomly, when I have a spare 10 minutes here or there, so it may take me a while to get it all together.
I also thought it was high time to add a weight loss progress widget. I love seeing these on other blogs, and when I was reading Gwen’s blog the other day, I saw her widget from Ticker Factory and decided to check them out. I like how you can pick tickers for various topics. Another goal I’m working toward this year is saving money, so I made one for that, too. Not that I’ll ever post that on my blog, but it’s nice to have a visual cue to show how close you are to reaching your goal.
And I finally got my new shoes yesterday. Woohoo! No more achy feet! I’m looking forward to my treadmill 5K tomorrow at 6 am with my gym partner in crime, Barb. I’m sure my feet will still hurt, but at least it will be from adjusting to brand new shoes, not from a lack of padding.
I guess that’s about it. Now I get to find the motivation to write an ad, and then chill most of the day, and then head out to do that interview close to the time my kids are getting out of school and I would normally be wrapping up my work week. Definitely not my ideal schedule, but some days are just like that, I guess. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
